To bring the rigour of institutional underwriting to UK property investment.
Most deal evaluation starts from the optimistic case and works outward. Underwriting inverts that: start by asking how a deal fails, and price or gate accordingly. That is not pessimism — it is a structured, evidence-led way of separating acceptable risk from unacceptable risk, and it is the discipline this platform is built around.

Totwell is built on a background rooted in analysis, systems thinking and disciplined execution.
Before entering the property sector, I spent my career primarily in the insurance industry, at a major national provider — one of the most heavily regulated, governance-driven corners of UK financial services, where risk and compliance standards are non-negotiable. My work centred on data, insight modelling and projection analysis, including applying machine learning to improve forecasting accuracy and operational decision-making, always within that regulatory framework.
Through structured analysis and process redesign, I led systems and workflow improvements that delivered annualised savings measured in the millions. That kind of work leaves no room for guesswork — it demands precision, risk awareness, and a clear understanding of how small assumptions compound into material financial outcomes. That is the same discipline Totwell applies to every BRR deal it validates.
Before insurance, I worked in business-to-business sales, which shaped my commercial judgement, negotiation skill, and appreciation for relationships built to last rather than deals closed quickly.
Earlier still, I attended a military college with the intention of pursuing service. I ultimately chose a different path, but the values that experience instilled — discipline, accountability, composure under pressure, and respect for structured systems — still shape how I built Totwell.
Regulated-industry rigour, quantified risk thinking, and a bias toward evidence over assumption. That is the background behind the platform, and why it is built the way it is.
Totwell Vetta is one founder and a small circle of specialist advisers. There is no growth team, no sales floor and no marketing department — which is why the product is a model and a document rather than a funnel. As the beta cohort grows, the people who join will appear here by name and role.
We would rather tell you that plainly than imply a company larger than it is. The rigour on this site is not a claim about headcount; it is a claim about method, and the method is published in full for you to check.
Great deals deserve independent evidence.
